Frequently asked questions
You just need to be a registered Pharmacy2U patient and have us selected as your preferred pharmacy. When your GP next prescribes a short-term medicine like antibiotics or temporary pain relief, it’ll be sent to us electronically to check, dispense, and dispatch via Royal Mail.
We'll check, dispense, pack, and dispatch your prescription as quickly as possible, ensuring it's with Royal Mail within 5 days of your request. They will then aim to deliver it within 2-3 working days.
If you need to start your new medicine the same day it’s prescribed by your GP, we’d recommend using your local pharmacy to collect it. If your GP is happy for you to start it in a few days, you can use our service to have it delivered to your chosen address for free.
If you pay for your NHS prescriptions, just make sure your payment details are up to date in your online account. The current NHS prescription charge is £9.90 per item. If you’re exempt from paying or have a valid prescription prepayment certificate, you can add details of this in your online account.
