Working together
for patients
Pharmacy2U is the UK’s largest online pharmacy.
Founded by pharmacists in 1999, our organisation helped to kickstart the digital healthcare transformation in England after being awarded the NHS pilot for an Electronic Prescription Service in 2001.
What makes Pharmacy2U different?
Our services can benefit many different people in the community, including those with reduced mobility or limited access to traditional pharmacies.
We can also support people with busy lifestyles who don’t have time to make regular trips to the pharmacy.
By providing NHS services such as the New Medicine Service and the Pharmacy Contraception Service remotely, we aim to support frontline healthcare provision by reducing pressure on GPs.
We save patients an average of 3.5 hours per month¹ in travel time
Patients can order repeat prescriptions online or on our app anytime, anywhere
Reminder service that can be tailored to suit the patient
We deliver prescriptions to patients’ homes for free via Royal Mail's Tracked service
How Pharmacy2U works for GPs & the NHS
With 43% of the UK population currently receiving a repeat prescription, it currently costs the NHS £8 billion each year¹.
Here’s how Pharmacy2U helps GPs and the NHS:
60 days a year¹ are saved by each GP practice when patients order their prescriptions online
£155 million is saved by the NHS thanks to online ordering¹
Pharmacy2U’s dispensing costs are 16% to 29% cheaper to the NHS than other methods²
