The Pharmacy2U Medicines Directory provides general information about hundreds of prescription and over-the-counter medicines. Depending on the medicine, you may find information about what it is used for, who may be able to take it, how it is usually taken, possible side effects and interactions, and what to do if a dose is missed or too much is taken.
The information in this directory is general and may not cover every use, dose, warning, interaction, or side effect. Always follow the instructions on the medicine label and Patient Information Leaflet, together with the advice of your prescriber or pharmacist. Do not start, stop, or change the dose of a prescribed medicine without speaking to a healthcare professional.
To find information about a medicine, select the first letter of its name and choose the relevant entry from the list. Inclusion in the directory does not mean that Pharmacy2U currently supplies the medicine, that it is in stock, or that it is suitable for you.
The Pharmacy2U Medicines Directory provides general information about hundreds of prescription and over-the-counter medicines. It is designed to support, rather than replace, the medicine label, Patient Information Leaflet, or advice from your prescriber or pharmacist.
Depending on the medicine, the directory may contain information about:
What the medicine is and what it’s used for
Who may be able to take it and who should avoid it
Usual dosage and administration information
What to do if a dose is missed or too much is taken
Known warnings
Known interactions and medicines that may not be suitable to take at the same time
Possible side effects.
Not every entry contains all this information. Always follow the instructions provided with your own medicine.

No. The directory is an information resource and is not a stock list. Current availability of over-the-counter medicines can be checked through our Health & Wellness Shop.
Our Medicine Stock Checker can help you check whether Pharmacy2U currently expects to be able to dispense a prescribed NHS medicine. Availability can change, and prescription medicines can only be supplied against a valid prescription.
If you are registered with a GP in England, Pharmacy2U can help you manage eligible one-off and repeat NHS prescriptions. You can register and submit a prescription request where this is supported, but your GP remains responsible for deciding whether to issue the prescription.
Once your GP has approved and issued the prescription, our pharmacy team can check and dispense the items before arranging free tracked delivery. The Medicines Directory cannot be used to select or obtain a particular prescription medicine.
You can also browse over-the-counter medicine in our Health & Wellness Shop, check the stock of NHS prescription medicines with our Medicine Stock Checker, or request an NHS prescription through our service here and, if appropriate, your GP may approve your request.
