Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is a common vaginal condition that occurs when the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina becomes disrupted. While BV is not considered a sexually transmitted infection (STI), it can affect women of all ages and is one of the most common causes of unusual vaginal discharge. Common symptoms may include a strong fishy odour, particularly after sex, thin grey or white discharge, and changes in vaginal comfort, although some women may experience no symptoms at all.
