Vicks Sinex Soother is a decongestant nasal spray that provides a fast and soothing relief from a blocked nose due to common colds and rhinitis. The effect of the spray starts within minutes and lasts for up to 12 hours. The active substance is oxymetazoline hydrochloride.

How to use Vicks Sinex Soother Decongestant Nasal Spray For Blocked Nose With Aloe Vera 15ml

1 to 2 sprays per nostril up to 3 times per day.

Do not use for more than 5 consecutive days

Precautions to consider before using Vicks Sinex Soother Decongestant Nasal Spray For Blocked Nose With Aloe Vera 15ml

Only use this medicine for a short time and to help with your symptom. Do not use for more than 5 consecutive days
Always follow the instructions on the packaging and Patient Information Leaflet which comes with the medicine, do not exceed the daily recommended dose and take note of the minimum time interval between doses.
Do not use alongside other oral and nasal forms of medicines used to treat a blocked nose, such as pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine or ephedrine

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you are taking any other medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not store above 25C.

Using this medicine for longer than the recommended duration can make your symptoms worse, your nose may become blocked again, and you may get other problems such as runny nose, sneezing, itching and irritation or your body can stop responding to the medicine.

Contact your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 5 days, if you have been using for longer than recommended or if you experience ongoing congestion, irritation, sneezing, or a runny nose.

If you experience any side effects, speak to a healthcare professional and report them via the Yellow Card scheme.

Do not use Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray if:

you are hypersensitive/allergic to the active substance Oxymetazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray.
you are taking or have taken during the last two weeks monoamine oxidase inhibitors MAO inhibitors are used in
the treatment of Parkinsons disease and depression.
you suffer from acute coronary disease or cardiac asthma.
you suffer from narrow-angle glaucoma.
you have had an operation to remove your pituitary gland.
the skin or mucous membranes of the nostrils are inflamed or have scabs.
As with all medicines, please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even those not prescribed.
Do not use Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray if you have during the last two weeks taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors MAO inhibitors are used in the treatment of Parkinsons disease and depression.
Please inform your doctor before use if you are taking tricyclic antidepressants or Bethanidine, Debrisoquine and Guanethidine medicines used in the treatment of high blood pressure.
Treatment with Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray may be affected if this medicine is taken at the same time as Bromocriptine drug used in Parkinsons disease.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this or any other medicine, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines No effect on the ability to drive or use machines has been observed.
Like all medicines, Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The less common occurring in fewer than 1 in 100 users side effects are sneezing, dryness or irritation in the nose, mouth and throat. The rare occurring in fewer than 1 in 1,000 users include restlessness, fatigue, irritability, disturbed sleep in children, effects on the heart, raised blood pressure, blocked nose, headache, nausea, flushing, rash and visual disturbances.
Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray should be used before the expiry date stated on the package, and stored below 25degC. As with all pharmaceutical products, keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
