What is TensCare iSock Electrode

The TensCare iSock is a wearable electrode designed for use with TENS transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and EMS electrical muscle stimulation machines. The conductive fabric of the iSock allows the electrical stimulation from the TENS unit to be dispersed throughout the entire foot, promoting improved blood flow, increased mobility, and relief from pain.

Unlike standard electrode pads, the iSock targets the whole foot, providing comprehensive relief for various foot-related issues. It receives the electrical impulses from the TENS or EMS unit and conducts them through the silver threads woven into the garment. This stimulates the nerve endings, alleviating symptoms of foot pain and arthritis, reducing swelling, and rehabilitating muscles to enhance mobility.

The thin, flexible fabric of the iSock means it can be comfortably worn under clothing while moving around, enabling users to continue an active lifestyle while benefiting from pain relief. The iSock is suitable for UK shoe sizes 4 to 8.

How to use TensCare iSock Electrode

Before starting, read the user manual to understand the devices functions, settings, and safety instructions
Ensure that the stimulator is turned OFF.
Insert one pin connector from one lead pair into the connector attached tothe iSock, and the other from the same lead pair into the connector on theelectrode pad.
The socks should be worn slightly damp to improve current flow.
Apply the garment
Place the electrode pad on the same limb as the iSock.
If necessary, hand wash the iSock and dry flat at room temperature.

Precautions to consider before using TensCare iSock Electrode

If being used for pain management for Diabetic Neuropathy or other conditions where there is reduced or no sensory sensation then there is a small risk that reduced or uneven electrical contact may cause irritated or broken skin. Care needs to be taken to monitor the skin condition under the garment at frequent intervals.
