Nutramigen Puramino is lactose free and contains the recommended DHA Omega 3 level to support normal visual development. DHA is also present in breast milk. Medium Chain Triglycerides oil provides an easily available source of fats and energy in case of fat malabsorption. Do not change the formula without medical advice. As your infant grows always consult your healthcare professional to obtain medical guidance regarding introduction of other food to your infants diet. Due to its special formulation, Nutramigen Puramino does not smell and taste like routine infant formula. Babies fed with this formula may produce frequent loose stools of green to dark colour. The decision to discontinue breastfeeding may be difficult to reverse and the introduction of partial bottle-feeding may reduce breast milk supply. Nutramigen Puramino is intended for the dietary management of severe cows milk protein allergy and multiple food intolerance and must be used under medical supervision. Suitable for infants from birth on when bottle fed and for young children. Nutramigen Puramino is a nutritionally complete formula that can be used as a sole source of nourishment in infants up to 6 months of age or as part of a mixed diet for older infants and children. For enteral use only.Feeding guidelines, unless your healthcare professional advises you otherwise. Do not press powder into scoop, level off with the back of a clean, dry knife. 1 level scoop 4.5 g to each 30 ml of water.When children do not receive adequate quantities of solid food, the quantity of formula needs to be adjusted strictly following the advice of a healthcare professional. Instructions for Preparation and Use. Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm. 1. Wash hands thoroughly and sterilise bottles, teats, caps and utensils.2. Boil fresh water. Leave to cool for 30 minutes prior to mixing. Do not use softened water.3. Pour desired amount of water into clean bottle or cup. Add required number of level scoops of powder see feeding guidelines. Store Dry scoop in the can.4. Cap bottle, roll and shake well until powder dissolves completely. Check temperature on inside of your wrist. Do not heat feeds in a microwave.5. Once prepared, formula can spoil quickly.Feed immediately after preparation or cover and store in a refrigerator at 2-4C for no longer than 24 hours. Do not freeze formula and do not use if unrefrigerated for more than a total of 2 hours. Use formula that has been in contact with babys mouth within 1 hour and do not refrigerate.
