What is Enterosgel 225g?

Enterosgel is an oral intestinal adsorbent suspension used for the treatment of symptoms associated with acute diarrhoea and Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhoea (IBS-D). It acts by physically binding to harmful substances within the gut, reducing stool frequency and the duration of diarrhoea. Enterosgel is not absorbed by the body and is expelled along with the adsorbed harmful substances during defecation.

How to use Enterosgel 225g

Take Enterosgel 1-2 hours before or after eating and 2 hours before or after taking oral medications
Shake the tube well before opening and for each use
Dilute the dose in room temperature water prior to administration. Dosage is based on age and condition

Precautions to consider before using Enterosgel 225g

Do not take Enterosgel if you are currently using modified-release orally administered medications, have severe constipation due to bowel obstruction, intestinal blockage or intolerance based on prior use of Enterosgel
Known side effects include constipation and nausea
Ensure you seek medical advice if you experience symptoms such as fever, blood in stools, signs of dehydration, diarrhoea and vomiting at the same time, or a severe or continuous stomach ache
Remember to consult your doctor before using Enterosgel during pregnancy and breastfeeding
