Dulcolax Suppositories 10mg is a comfort-shaped medicated suppository for rectal use to relieve occasional constipation and irregularity. It helps to produce a bowel movement in as little time as 15 minutes for dependable, fast relief.

How Do Dulcolax Suppositories work

Dulcolax Suppositories 10mg contains the active ingredients, bisacodyl, which stimulates the muscles in the intestine to promote bowel activity.

Stimulant laxatives should only be used if other laxatives bulk-forming and osmotic are ineffective. Children younger than 12 years should not use stimulant laxatives without advice from a prescriber and clinical guidance should be followed.

How to use Dulcolax Suppositories 10mg 12 Years Plus

Adults and children 12 years and over:

Put one 10 mg suppository into the back passage forimmediate effect they usually have a laxative effectwithin 10 to 30 minutes. Only use one suppositoryper day. This should not be used in children oradolescents under the age of 12 years.

What are the precautions to conside before using/taking Dulcolax Suppositories 10mg 12 Years Plus

For rectal use only
Ask a doctor before use if you have stomach pain, nausea or vomiting
A sudden change in bowel habits that lasts more than 2 weeks
When using this product, it may cause stomach discomfort, faintness, rectal burning and mild cramps

Stop use and ask a doctor if:

You have rectal bleeding or no bowel movement after using this product. These could be signs of a serious condition.
You need to use a laxative for more than 1 week
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

Other warnings:

Keep out of reach of children.
do not use this product if the individual seal is broken

Possible side effects

Like all medicines, Dulcolax Twelve Plus Suppositories can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you experience any of the following side effects, please stop using the medicines and see your doctor straight away:

Rare side effects affect less than 1 in 1000 people o Severe allergic reactions which may cause swelling of the face or throat and difficulty in breathing or dizziness. If you have a severe allergic reaction, stop taking this medicine and see a doctor straight away. o Colitis inflammation of the large intestine which causes abdominal pain and diarrhoea o Dehydration o Allergic reactions which may cause a skin rash o Fainting Uncommon side effects affect less than 1 in 100 people o Blood in the stools o Vomiting o Abdominal discomfort o Discomfort inside and around the back passage o Dizziness Common side effects affect less than 1 in 10 people o Abdominal cramps or pain o Diarrhoea o Nausea
