What is Protexin Pro-Kolin?

Description

Pro-Kolin is a highly palatable probiotic paste used to help maintain and support a healthy digestive system in cats and dogs. It is commonly recommended to help manage digestive upsets by promoting a balanced gut flora and supporting the natural integrity of the gut lining.

Key Ingredients

Probiotics: Contains the natural 'friendly' bacterium, Enterococcus faecium (DSM 10663/ NCIMB 10415) 4b1707, which helps maintain beneficial bacteria levels and exclude pathogenic species.
Preplex® Prebiotics: A combination of fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS) and acacia (gum arabic) to nourish and stimulate growth of beneficial gut bacteria.
Kaolin: A natural binding agent that helps firm up faeces.
Pectin: Supports and soothes the gut lining.
Artificial beef flavouring: Improves palatability for easier administration.

Administration Instructions

Use the easy-to-read graduation wheel on the syringe plunger. Rotate the wheel until it aligns to the right of the number representing the desired quantity for accurate dosing.

Directions For Use

Pro-Kolin is available in 15ml, 30ml, and 60ml syringes for precise and easy administration. 15ml and 30ml syringes are ideal for small to medium dogs, while the 60ml syringe is recommended for larger dogs. Administer by mouth as long as necessary or as advised by your vet.

Pro-Kolin can be given up to three times daily, depending on severity. Typical dosage recommendations (Twice Daily unless otherwise advised):

<5kg: 2ml, 15ml syringe
5-15kg: 3ml, 15/30ml syringe
15-30kg: 5ml, 15/30ml syringe
>30kg: 7ml, 15/30ml syringe
25-35kg: 6ml, 60ml syringe
35-45kg: 8ml, 60ml syringe
>45kg: 10ml, 60ml syringe

Storage Instructions

Pro-Kolin has a 2-year shelf life from the date of manufacture. After opening, replace the lid and store in a cool, dry area. If stored correctly, it will remain effective until the Best Before End date, even if opened.
