Vagifem (Estradiol) Vaginal 10mg Tablets

The active substance is Estradiol 10 micrograms (as Estradiol Hemihydrate). Each vaginal tablet contains 10 micrograms Estradiol (as estradiol hemihydrate).

Other ingredients are: Hypromellose, Lactose Monohydrate, Maize Starch and Magnesium Stearate. The film-coating contains: Hypromellose and Macrogol 6000.
Use as directed by your doctor. You should start using Vagifem on any day which is best for you. Insert the vaginal tablet into your vagina using the applicator. Use one tablet each day for the first 2 weeks and then use one tablet twice a week. Leave 3 or 4 days between each dose.
Do not use if you are allergic to Estradiol, you have or ever had cancer, you have excessive thickening of the womb lining, you have or ever had a blood clot, if you have or have recently had blood clots. Talk to your doctor f you have or ever have suffered from asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, gallstones, high blood pressure, migraines, fibroids, kidney problems. Stop using Vagifem if you notice any of the following: migraine like headaches, yellowing of your skin, high blood pressure, become pregnant, painful swelling in your legs, sudden chest pains or difficulty in breathing.
