Who can use the contraception service?
If you’re currently taking oral contraception or wanting to get started on the pill, either progesterone only (sometimes called the mini-pill) or the combined pill then our pharmacist should be able to help you. You need to be between your first period (menarche) and 49 years old (or 54 years old for progesterone only) to use this service.
This service can also be used for obtaining free oral emergency contraception where appropriate.
Unfortunately, it cannot be used for those needing other forms of contraception, such as implants or injections.
In your appointment you’ll need to provide your height and weight, and potentially a self measured blood pressure reading. If you’re unsure whether this service is right for you, our team is here to help.
