25th February 2025

Pharmacy2U held its first-ever supplier conference on Tuesday 25th February:

Pharmacy2U - Putting people in control of their healthcare

Held at The MTC, Coventry, the conference welcomed partners and suppliers from all areas of the business including NHS Prescriptions, Consumer Health, Online Doctor, and Pet Health.

Pharmacy2U exclusively launched its UK-first combined digital platform, showcasing pharmacy, private consultations, NHS services, veterinary medicines, and wellness services in a single app. Second only to the NHS in the app store, this new platform fully supports the Government’s 10-year plan for digital access to health services. The new digital destination helps to put people in control of their healthcare.

Kevin Heath, Pharmacy2U CEO, set the scene by sharing the Pharmacy2U mission, NHS alignment, the role of pharmacy, and a nod to the company’s 25 year history. He also outlined supplier opportunities to scale and grow with the business as it accelerates its cross-sell strategy to reach more patients than ever before.

Des Hennelley from IQVIA then presented key industry insights from the DSP space, with an overview of the UK dispensing market and Pharmacy2U’s role in this. He explored the rapid growth of distance-selling pharmacies and their projected growth in the UK market.

Pharmacy2U Chief Marketing Officer, Glyn Williams, Head of Brand, Helen Priestley, and Customer Strategy & CRM Director, Ryan Davies closed the morning’s session by exploring how Pharmacy2U is driving the shift to digital-first healthcare. They covered key brand actions, an exclusive look at an upcoming brand refresh for the business, and outlined a customer strategy that maximises pathways to provide tailored care for patients.

In the afternoon, suppliers were invited to three breakout sessions with their respective Pharmacy2U contacts based on their relevant sector. Pharmacy2U Commercial Director John Wyatt hosted the NHS Prescription session. Consumer Health & Online Doctor Director John Acland, Head of Consumer Health, Sarah Elvidge, and Head of Online Doctor, Michael Turner facilitated the Health & Wellness Shop and Online Doctor session. The Pet Health session, an emerging market for Pharmacy2U with significant growth opportunity, was run by Veterinary Services Directors, Phil and Neil Younger. These sessions provided attendees with greater detail and insight on what the new digital platform means for them, how they can take advantage of the opportunity and accelerate growth to drive the Government’s plan for digital healthcare transformation.

Suppliers and partners regrouped for a closing panel discussion, hosted by Pharmacy2U Chief Digital and Information Officer, Jo Graham. Suppliers submitted questions throughout the day that were presented to Kevin Heath, Glyn Williams, Ryan Davies, John Acland, Neil Younger, and John Wyatt. Discussion points included Online Doctor prescribing regulations, patient pathway specifics, supplier opportunities to grow, and NHS breaking news comments.
