Pharmacy2U expands pet health and integrates The PharmPet Co

We’re delighted to announce that Pharmacy2U has completed the integration of The PharmPet Co into our growing platform, as we expand our trusted pharmacy offering into the pet health sector.  

The launch of Pharmacy2U Pet Health means you can now manage the health and prescriptions of your whole family, pets included, in one place. By integrating Pet Health into our core platform, we are proud to offer pet owners the same reliable medicine availability and automated dispensing already enjoyed by our 1.6 million customers. 

The PharmPet Co was founded in 2019 by brothers Neil and Phil Younger, alongside their father Keith. With over 60 years of pharmaceutical experience collectively, their mission is to provide pet owners with a convenient and affordable alternative for the dispensing of veterinary medicine, without comprising on quality. 

 Our further expansion into pet health comes at a time when consumers are looking for better and often more affordable sources for pet medicine, with the CMA watchdog ringing the alarm on a lack of price transparency, high costs, and ineffective competition within the industry – finding average vet prices rose 63% between 2016 and 2023, well above the rate of inflation. With a major probe underway, the CMA is investigating prescription pricing in the veterinary sector, and a final decision is due to be announced in early spring. 

Driven in part by these market forces, The PharmPet Co has grown by 100% over the past year, and we’re excited for what this integration means for 2026 and beyond.  

The integration marks the latest step in our rapid growth, following the acquisition of online pharmacy LloydsDirect in 2023, a full business rebrand in spring 2025, and achieving B Corp status earlier this month. Pharmacy2U is the UK’s third largest distributor of prescriptions, and this integration takes us one step closer to becoming a one-stop shop for digital healthcare.
