Pharmacy2U and ASDA partner to offer prescription home delivery

Asda becomes first UK supermarket to offer prescription home delivery following partnership with Pharmacy2U

Asda customers can now order prescriptions to their door free of charge 24/7 through the new Pharmacy2U partnership.

Pharmacy2U have teamed up with ASDA to launch their electronic prescription service to their customers. The pilot launching today will roll out in 50 stores across eight regions in the UK.

This new service allows Asda customers to order their prescriptions at any time, 24/7 online through pharmacy.asda.com. Once they complete their order online, their prescription is sent to their GP for electronic approval. When approved, Pharmacy2U’s clinical team will make all the necessary final checks before dispatching the items directly to the customer’s door, free of charge, using a fully tracked service including delivery notifications and updates. The partnership between two established Yorkshire-born brands will offer patients greater convenience and better access to pharmacy services nationwide.

Asda and Pharmacy2U previously partnered in 2023 to roll out a COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination programme across a number of Asda stores and this is yet another step in supporting the relief of pressure on the NHS and for GP’s.
