We’re making our service greener in simple ways you can feel good about

Because we send millions of parcels, our packaging really matters - so we’re using less of it, removing anything unnecessary, and choosing materials you can easily recycle at home. It might look plain, but you can trust it’s kinder to the planet every time it arrives at your door.

We’re also planning smarter delivery routes so our vans use less fuel and create less pollution. And all our sites now run on clean, renewable energy from wind and sunshine instead of fossil fuels.

All these small changes add up to less waste, cleaner air, and a greener way to get your medicines. You can rely on us to care for you without harming the world around us - and we’re working every day to keep it that way.

We support our people because they support our patients

We know great care starts with people who feel supported and able to be themselves. That’s why we look after our team with the same care they give our patients.

Our colleagues are experts who work together every day, sharing ideas and keeping patients at the centre of every decision. And because doing the right thing is everyone’s job, every employee is trained in ethical practice.

We offer wellbeing support that genuinely matters - from fertility leave and menopause care to enhanced parental leave - so you can trust your care comes from people who feel cared for too. We also help our teams stay healthy with access to our Online Doctor service, flu jabs and useful everyday discounts.

Connection matters as well, so we bring people together through socials, team events and community days that make work feel like a place to belong.

All of this means our colleagues feel appreciated, stay longer and deliver even better care - so you can feel confident in the team behind every prescription.

We follow NHS standards because trust is earned

When people trust us with their medicines, safety has to come first. It’s not a box we tick - it’s something our whole team works on every day.

Every prescription is checked by our clinicians who bring specialist knowledge and support one another to make sure every step is done with care. We follow strict NHS data and safety standards, and every colleague is trained to work ethically because doing the right thing matters.

We also give our teams the tools they need to stay confident and in control, from ongoing training to access to health services and the support of a team that looks out for each other - so you can feel secure in the care you receive.

All of this means your data stays protected, your medicines stay safe, and every part of our service is built around what’s best for you. Safety isn’t just a promise, it’s who we are.

We’re now officially a B Corp - and we couldn’t be prouder

Frequently asked questions

ESG stands for environmental, social, and governance. It is a set of practices that a company implements to limit its negative environmental impact and enhance its positive social impact. Publishing and reporting on these practices enable organisations to be transparent and accountable in their responsibilities where environmental and social impact are concerned.

A robust ESG strategy helps to demonstrate our commitment to environmental and social responsibility as an organisation. It sets out a clear framework with measurable targets to ensure we’re accountable for doing what we say we’ll do. With innovation at the heart of what we do, part of our ethos as a business is to embrace new ways of working. This enables us to leverage emerging technologies and lead the way in best practices that benefit our people and our environment.

An ESG policy outlines business objectives within the three key areas of the environment, social, and governance framework. It should formalise the company’s commitment to actions it will take in order to achieve these objectives. Pharmacy2U’s ESG policy will be published on this page.

An ESG statement is a milestone report published by the organisation to provide a progress update in relation to the objectives outlined in its ESG policy. This statement will detail performance to target on each of the three key ESG areas, along with commentary on what’s been achieved and what activity is ongoing.

A Certified B Corporation is a business that meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. B Corps balance profit with purpose and are legally committed to considering the impact of their decisions on people and the planet.

We’re choosing B Corp certification because we want to demonstrate and externally certify that we operate, ethically, responsibly as sustainability. It holds Pharmacy 2U to rigorous standards that ensure we are making a positive impact on customers, workers, communities, and the environment.

You may notice:

  • More transparency about our practices

  • Better environmental performance (materials, packaging, emissions reduction)

  • Clearer ethical commitments across our supply chain

  • Improved customer policies and service standards

Day-to-day, you’ll still receive the same quality—just backed by deeper accountability.

Yes, in a positive way. B Corp standards push companies to continuously improve, which often results in higher-quality, safer, and more responsibly sourced products.

There is no expectation that BCorp will impact our pricing

B Corps are independently verified by the nonprofit B Lab. Many companies talk about responsibility; B Corps must prove it through:

• A detailed impact assessment

Third-party verification

• Legal accountability

• Ongoing recertification every 3 years

B Corp assessment currently covers five key areas:

  1. Governance – ethics, transparency

  2. Workers – fair pay, benefits, well-being

  3. Community – diversity, local impact

  4. Environment – emissions, waste, materials, resource use

  5. Customers – quality, safety, data privacy, product impact

This will change in 2026 to seven key areas and Pharmacy 2U will provide updates on this.

No, it is an ongoing commitment to continuously improve. Pharmacy 2U has to produce and annual impact report and must recertify every three years, continually improving their score.

B Corp have a website where you can search and find Pharmacy 2U Ltd and see more about our assessment https://bcorporation.eu/find-a-b-corp/

In addition, B Lab publishes a public impact report for every business. With both of these you can review our score, strengths, and where we’re improving. We will also share updates on our progress with customers.

The development of the standards for BCorp Certification are overseen by BLab’s independent Standards Advisory Council.

Yes. Part of B Corp certification requires Pharmacy 2U to:

  • Review and engage with our supply chain

  • Prioritise ethical and sustainable sourcing

  • Improve labour and environmental practices with all our partners

No. B Corp certification is difficult to achieve and includes legal changes to how we operate. It commits us to higher standards, even when no one is looking.

You can support by:

  • Choosing products that align with your values

  • Sharing feedback—we use it to improve our impact

  • Spreading the word about responsible business

We’ll keep you updated through our website, newsletters, and impact reports. You can also explore B Lab’s resources to learn about the global B Corp movement. Please also see BCorp FAQ https://bcorporation.uk/faqs/
