Frequently asked questions

All our NHS services are free of charge so you don’t have to pay anything for them. Our current NHS services include:

  • Pharmacy Contraception Service

  • New Medicine Service

  • Pharmacy First

Private services offered in partnership with our trusted healthcare providers will each have their own individual costs depending on the service you use. The private healthcare service we currently offer is Medical Letter Assessments in partnership with ZoomDoc Health.

Depending on the service you’re using, there might be one or two things you can do to prepare in advance of your appointment or consultation. This will most likely be having information to hand ready for your appointment. For example, details of what medications you’re currently taking or a note of any questions you want to ask the pharmacist when you talk to them. If there's anything specific you'll need, we'll let you know when you book.

Yes. As part of the New Medicine Service and Pharmacy Contraception Service, if the pharmacist has any concerns, they’ll discuss these with you and if needed, send a note to your GP recommending that they review your new medicine with you. You can also keep a copy of this note.

At Pharmacy2U, we’re always striving to give our patients the best choice and convenience when it comes to healthcare. This means we’re committed to developing and providing access to health services that can help you. The NHS plan for the future is to free up more appointments with GPs by using more pharmacy services. We’ll keep you updated with new services as they’re rolled out.
