Pharmacy2U launches NHS Contraception Service

Following a successful trial led by the NHS in 2023 to process contraception renewal using a new approach, Pharmacy2U now introduce its new NHS contraception service.

The new NHS service will allow women in England to have access to new contraception prescriptions and renewals remotely without the need to visit a GP or stand in the queue waiting for their medication.

Women will now have greater access and greater control over their contraception medication through this discreet, free, and convenient secure home delivery service. Women can book a telephone appointment online at a time that suits them with a Pharmacy2U qualified pharmacist, discuss their needs and medication, and receive it delivered directly to their door for free.

Melanie King, Senior Pharmacist at Pharmacy2U says:

“When it comes to contraception, and sexual health, it’s so important that women feel empowered by their options. For too long, women who have struggled to find a suitable time to visit their GP have had to make difficult decisions, and I’m pleased that the changes happening to primary care are finally doing something about that.”
