Why do some patients need to order directly with their GP surgery?
Updated
Whilst most GP surgeries allow Pharmacy2U to request your prescription directly on your behalf, some choose not to allow prescription requests from pharmacies or other third parties.
If your surgery has this policy, you can still use Pharmacy2U for your medication - it just means you’ll place the prescription request with the surgery yourself.
Most surgeries have an online portal where you can order your medication. You can visit their website or contact the surgery directly, and they’ll guide you on how to request your prescription. Once you’ve placed your order, your GP will send your prescription to Pharmacy2U electronically as we are your nominated pharmacy.
We’ll then dispense and deliver your medication to your chosen address, free of charge, within 5 working days.
You’ll still receive reminders from us when it’s time to order your next prescription, so you can stay on track with your medicine.
