Fybogel
Fybogel is a natural fibre drink that contains the ingredient Ispaghula husk as a bulk-forming laxative that is used to treat severe constipation, relieving constipation and treating constipation. Ispaghula husk increases significantly in size when it comes into contact with fluid and thereby increases the volume of the contents of the gut. With the increase in size, the contents of the gut are pushed along more quickly by the muscles of the gut wall and acts as a constipation laxative.
Fybogel is also used to treat moderately-raised cholesterol levels by preventing it from being absorbed from the gut into the blood. It is thought to do this by reducing the level of bile acids that are required to absorb cholesterol. Fybogel comes in Fybogel orange and Fybogel.
Constipation Symptoms
Constipation can be caused by poor diet, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or certain medication can cause constipation such as certain painkillers, anti depressants. Constipation symptoms vary from person to person and on some occasions you may not realise you are constipated.
The main symptoms of constipation are reduction in bowel movements, wind, bloating, stomach pains or stomach cramps. Once your digestive starts to slow down you many also suffer from headaches, irritability and general feeling ill.
