Stud 100 Desensitizing Spray For Men containscontains the active substance lidocaine. Lidocaine is a local anaesthetic which is used to reduce the sensitivity to touch of the penis just before intercourse (sex). The reduction in sensitivity helps to delay ejaculation (climax) in cases of over-rapid or premature ejaculation (coming to a climax too quickly).
Do not use Stud 100 o If you or your partner are allergic to lidocaine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Warnings and precautions Take special care with Stud 100 and always ask your doctor before using the medicine if you have, or have ever had, liver or kidney problems. Discontinue use if a rash or irritation develops. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
Other medicines and Stud 100 High blood levels of the active ingredient of Stud 100, lidocaine, can cause interactions with other medicines. The amount of absorption of lidocaine from Stud 100 is likely to be very low. However, you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using the spray if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines or herbal therapies obtained without a prescription
. Pregnancy The use of Stud 100 is not recommended if your partner is pregnant. Stud 100 can transfer to your partner during intercourse.
Driving and using machines Stud 100 is unlikely to impair the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Like all medicines, Stud 100 can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
Allergic reactions to lidocaine have been reported very rarely. If you or your partner develop a rash, or irritation, stop using the spray. If the side effect becomes serious, or if you notice any other side effects, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
When Stud 100 is used correctly as described in this leaflet, only extremely low levels of lidocaine are absorbed into the blood. However, higher blood levels of lidocaine (about 25 times higher than the blood levels achieved with the recommended maximum daily dose of Stud 100) have been associated with side effects such as nervousness, dizziness, convulsions (fits), loss of consciousness, as well as effects on the heart and lungs.
Reporting of side effects If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via the national reporting system (see details below). By reporting side effects you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine. The quantity used and timing will vary with individual requirements, but the usual recommended dosage is 3 to 8 sprays to the head and the shaft of the penis, 5 to 15 minutes before intercourse.
You should always use the minimum effective quantity. o This spray is for external use only.
Do not spray near the eyes or nostrils. o Do not use on broken or inflamed skin. o Wash off the spray after intercourse. o
Do not use the spray for more than 3 months without consulting your doctor. o Do not exceed a maximum of 24 sprays in 24 hours.
Elderly Stud 100 is not recommended for use by the elderly.
