An exciting opportunity for a Frontend Developer to join our growing business, working on our health tech, ecommerce website. Where they will lead the development for the optimisation and experimentation work, within the 2018 Amazon Award winning health tech business.

Someone who can work collaboratively within our Experience Architecture team alongside CX & CRO, UX, development and testing teams. Have a passion for understanding both customer journeys, digital experiences and problem solving. As the development lead you will be responsible for advising on and delivering high quality code for experimenting projects.

Your role will cover building the code and implementing A/B / MVT experiments, digital experiences, and ensuring tracking requirements are met, and implemented through GTM as well as other analytics and experience platforms.

You will ensure projects are rigorously tested across a variety of browsers and devices as well as working with the automation testing teams to ensure test scripts are updated accordingly.

On occasion you may be required to support with design resource, with support from other creatives in the business. Experience in UI design would be advantageous. This is a multi-dimensional exciting role within an industry disrupter business.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main development point of contact for optimisation and experimentation
  • Building experimentations (AB/ MVT, journeys, Lean start-up, MVP)
  • Be able to advise and articulate the best way in which to build based on the hypothesis and problem statements presented
  • Work with the other frontend / backend and testing teams to collaborate and produce recommendations and work of the highest quality
  • Bringing new ideas of how to innovate our optimisation capabilities for continual improvements and evolutions
  • Ensuring QA and automation testing has been done/ is in place
  • Have the ability to identify new opportunities and emerging platforms that further drive our capabilities

Required experience & skills

  • Knowledge of responsive web design with a mobile first approach
  • Proficient understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of scripting using “vanilla” javascript
  • Proficient understanding of JavaScript frameworks, such as JQuery/ReactJS/Angular etc
  • Clean reusable code
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them
  • Experiencing using A/B testing tools (Qubit desirable)
  • Experience using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience with supporting UI / content design in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is desirable

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap framework (especially v3)
  • Experience with JIRA
