How the Pharmacy2U Travel Clinic works

Book your consultation online

Simply book a free telephone consultation with one of our pharmacists, at a date and time that suits you. Make sure you book 6-8 weeks in advance of your travel date.

Find out which vaccinations and/or medication you need

Our pharmacist will carry out the consultation, where we’ll let you know which vaccines and/or medication are recommended for your destination.

Visit our clinic and get vaccinated

Once your consultation is complete, any medication you need will be delivered to you directly and if a vaccination is required, the pharmacist will book an appointment for you to visit our clinic to be vaccinated.

What are the typical travel vaccinations given?

The vaccines and medication needed depends on your destination. However, some typical vaccines given for safe travel are:-

Cholera
Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Polio (DTP)
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Combined Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B
Malaria
Rabies
Typhoid (Injection)
Tick-Borne Encephalitis
Meningitis ACWY
Japanese Encephalitis
Yellow Fever

How much does it cost?

Your consultation with our pharmacist is free but you will have to pay for any vaccinations or treatments you are provided with to travel to your destination safely. Your pharmacist will tell you the prices of what you need during your consultation.

How long will my appointment take?

Your free telephone consultation should only take 10-15 minutes, and if you need a vaccination then an appointment will be made for you to visit our clinic to administer. Any medication needed should be with you within a few days of your telephone consultation.

Why may I need a vaccination or medication before I travel?

It’s important not to take unnecessary risks when we travel. Seeking professional advice before departing the country will mean you’ll be less vulnerable to illness and infections when travelling, giving you the peace of mind to enjoy your stay. You may also need to have taken these necessary precautions for travel insurance purposes.
