Hands on Development of all P2U internal systems.

What are we looking for?We are looking for people that love to learn and want to grow with a company that is a leader in its market. Our developers should care about creating great code, interacting with stakeholders, and working as part of a driven team of experts.

What kind of technology do we use?We do most of our work in .NET with C# and use Xamarin Forms/JavaScript/jQuery/Knockout for our front-end interfaces. We have recently moved all platforms into Azure and our in the process of modernising our monolithic codebase into Micro Service Architecture using .net Core.

Essential Skills

This person will contribute to ensuring other team members can build high-quality, test-driven code that meets the highest standards of good Agile engineering. What do we expect out of applicants for this position?

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field or comparable relevant experience
  • 1-2 years-experience working in software development
  • Have some experience with most of the technologies in our stack, and are willing to learn others
  • Show some level of expertise in at least three of our technology platforms
  • Great at communicating and interacting with customers

Role Context

The role operates within the IT team for Pharmacy2U and reports to the Dev Lead.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Numerate
  • IT literate (used It systems and is quick to learn)
  • Ability to use Excel at intermediate level
  • Demonstrate drive, initiative and proactivity in role
  • Proven ability to work both as part of a bigger team and individually
  • Ability to prioritise and organise tasks and workload
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working in a pressured environment, delivering against tight deadlines
  • Experience of working within company and ethical rules and regulations

  • KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade C or above
  • Ability to use Excel at an intermediate level
  • Must participate in NVQ Level 2 Dispensing Assistants Course on completion of 3 months service
