Site Coordinator (Pharmacy Services)

Outside of our core services, Pharmacy2U is now also supporting the national COVID vaccination effort running vaccination sites around England, our intention is to build on pharmacy services further.

Role Purpose

As a Site Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality service. You will lead your Vaccination site in all areas of service and will be passionate about motivating your teams to deliver success.

Various positions in the following regions:

  • North East
  • Yorkshire
  • Midlands
  • North West
  • South West
  • South East

Role will be assigned to specific regions but there may be occasional requirement to support other English Regions.

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

  • People performance and behaviour management of all team members
  • Managing efficiency of the clinical team members throughput within agreed realistic expectations
  • Allocation of clinical and operational roles
  • Monitoring and managing accuracy of data submissions to NHS and P2U
  • Implementing and monitoring of the patient journey process
  • Management of all site equipment and ordering/re-ordering supplies of consumables
  • Working with Supervising Pharmacist to monitor and manage vaccine stock levels for reporting
  • Completion of daily open and close checklists
  • Onboarding of new team members – with support from Supervising Pharmacist for clinical elements
  • Owning escalation of all non-clinical issues with support from Regional Co-ordinators and/or Services team
  • Communicating all updates, briefings and change to all team members of the site
  • Overseeing cleaning and sanitising schedules
  • Undertake weekly clinical standards audit supported by Supervising Pharmacist
  • Ensure that all staff training is completed and kept up to date
  • Working with the clinical professionals to ensure vaccine wastage is managed effectively and kept to an absolute minimum

Knowledge, skills and experience required for role


  • Numerate
  • IT literate (used It systems and is quick to learn)
  • Demonstrate drive, initiative and proactivity in role
  • Proven ability to work both as part of a bigger team and individually
  • Ability to prioritise and organise tasks and workload
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Display high level of accuracy
  • Must be willing to travel around assigned region and support other English regions as required


  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working within company and ethical rules and regulations
  • Experience of working in a highly accurate environment


  • Good Level of Maths and English
  • Ability to use Microsoft Programmes, including Word & Excel
