Our state-of-the-art Leeds-based central dispensing facility is distributing medication to patients at a rate of over 600,000 items per month, we are looking for a Pharmacist to join our new state of the art premises in Bardon, Coalville.

Role Purpose/Summary

To ensure that all patients received the highest quality of care by ensuring clinically accuracy and patient safety. Reporting directly to the senior Pharmacist.

Various positions in the following regions:

  • North East
  • Yorkshire
  • Midlands
  • North West
  • South West
  • South East

Role will be assigned to specific regions but there may be occasional requirement to support other English Regions

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure all prescriptions received are clinically checked for dosage and safety
  • Meet the performance targets
  • Ensure that all queries on patient prescriptions are communicated to customer service within the SLA
  • Ensure that all responses from customer service are received within the agreed SLA to ensure patient safety
  • Ensure weekly controlled drug count is undertaken
  • Advice patient on adverse side effect, interactions and minor ailments
  • Support the team with ACT checking and dossette checks
  • Undertake Medicine Use Review (MUR) and NMS

Person Specification


  • Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm or MPharm)
  • GPHC registration
  • Adhere to legal and ethical and professional requirements
  • Experience in leading teams and in driving continuous improvement through implementing processes and driving efficiencies
  • Safeguarding training
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise activities
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined working practice
  • Highly responsible, with strong levels of integrity
