Role Purpose

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our team as Partner Development Manager to further develop our partnership strategy, identifying opportunities and securing relationships to support Pharmacy2U’s growth.

As Partnership Development manager you will play a lead role in driving our strategic partnership programme. Reporting directly to our Director of Product, we are looking for a dynamic growth focused Partner Development Manager who enjoys fast paced, innovative environments and is capable of high levels of autonomy. Our aim to drive business growth and customer engagement through partner collaboration. Partnerships sits at the heart of our growth strategy and we are looking for a Partnership Development Manager to realise the potential of the channel.

Due to the cross-sector nature of this role, it will particularly suit someone who has experience in Business Development, Corporate Partnerships and /or someone working on within the charity or corporate fundraising. This is also technical role and would suit someone comfortable with technical integrations and onboarding of partners to IT systems.

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

The role will involve owning our strategic partners plan, establishing partnerships and collaborations with:

  • Charities / Not for profit organisations.
  • Technology / App providers in relevant verticals.
  • Leading academic institutions, Clinical trial and research organisations.
  • Major corporate / Trade organisations.
  • Supplier and Funded marketing partners.
  • Data analysis and Marketing organisations.
  • Trade or sector bodies and groups / Thought leadership partners.
  • Other agencies and organisations with complementary products and customer bases to ours.

Key Responsibilities

  • To identify new partners and partner workstreams to contribute fully to the preparation of the strategic partners plan.
  • Proactively build and maintain a new business pipeline for partnership team, alongside the Partnership Success Officer, Product and Marketing
  • Prepare and deliver successful pitches; submit persuasive written proposals; conduct negotiations on partnerships; and concluding contracts with partners covering multi-year partnerships, CRM and sponsorship arrangements.
  • Act as partnership success manager for blue chip partners to alongside the Partner Success Officer.
  • Measure success and impact of fundraising activities through agreed evaluation methods.
  • Support ongoing partner relationships to maximise benefits for Pharmacy2U and our partners.
  • To provide partners with a rewarding partnership journey, showing them the impact of their support to our businesses, ultimately retaining the winning partnerships long-term.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to deliver partner campaigns and ensure partners benefit from P2U campaigns.


  • Contribute to creating partner acquisition plan alongside Product Director, Marketing and Finance.
  • Monitor and analyse performance progress vs budget regularly to identify any problems and manage risk.

Team management

  • Effectively line manage the partner team to ensure delivery of business growth through partnerships.
  • Effectively support and mentor team to deliver against targets, spot opportunities for growth and collaborate across organisation.
  • Identify and support all training needs for team to ensure continual development and team success.

Additional responsibilities

  • Administratively self-supporting, providing periodic reporting to PD and Exec as required.
  • Public speaking; prepare and deliver presentations to staff, partners.
  • Undertake any other duties that are relevant to the job requested by the line manager

Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to be an ambassador for the Partnership team and Pharmacy2U more widely.
  • Able to deliver high value partnerships, in either a charity, corporate, technology or commercial sales environments.
  • Thrives under pressure. Able to manage time and competing priorities, specifically in the context of balancing a portfolio of partners or stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with an ability to develop existing partnerships or secure new business to meet targets and deliver return on investment.

  • Technically minded and or / able to quickly grasp technical concepts and considerations relating to partner opportunities.
