Role Purpose

The eCommerce assistant will be working on our Chemist Direct Brand, within the marketing team with a remit that touches all elements of ecommerce from content production and management to merchandising techniques, SEO content and campaign marketing from managing and maintaining product and website information to building and broadcasting campaigns across social and CRM channels across our full range of products and services.

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

  • Creating and maintaining product content to improve conversion rates.
  • Supporting the ecommerce teams with merchandising and promotions management

Knowledge, skills, and experience required for role


  • Experience with analytical tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Business)
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and results driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical, technical & mathematical abilities
  • Excellent oral, verbal & written communication skills
  • Results driven and comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
  • Basic html would be desirable


  • Experience of E-Commerce platforms & content management systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Google Analytics and other tools in the Google suite.
  • An understanding of Adobe CS to create mock-ups & basic HTML coding & web design experience a plus.
  • A confident user of Microsoft packages especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Conscientious, creative with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, tenacious, and flexible with excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate with staff in all areas of the business and customers where necessary
  • Independent- able to prioritise and take ownership of a project
  • A keen interest in digital/E-Commerce trends and a passion for improving user experience.


  • Degree or equivalent ideally in a Marketing related field
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade C or above
  • Excellent Excel skills
