Role Purpose

At Pharmacy2U, we believe it is important to encourage young people into the workplace and provide training and development for the future. Working with recognised training providers, we can provide on-the-job experience resulting in the professional qualification of Digital Service Technician.

 

Working in our small Information Governance & Security Team, we are looking for an applicant who joins the team and quickly works independently and takes responsibility in dealing with internal and external privacy, information governance and information security tasks and requests.

 

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

The role will support, and with more experience, lead

  • the day to day management of data rights requests;
  • investigations and documentation of incidents in connection with the processing of personal data;
  • risk assessments, data protection impact assessments and other data protection activities;
  • reviews and audits of the information governance & security frameworks;
  • maintaining of records and registers;
  • design and running of internal phishing tests;
  • delivery of staff training;
  • Working with key teams across the business (customer service, purchasing, operations & pharmacists
  • Ensuring that the workplace remains fun, relaxed and friendly.

 

Professional Recognition:

  • Those completing the Digital Support Technician apprenticeship will be recognised for entry onto the BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, Register of IT Technicians confirming SFIA level 3 professional competence. Those completing the apprenticeship can apply for registration.

 

Other regular or ad-hoc tasks for the information governance & security team and the Data Protection Officer will also be part of the role.

Knowledge, skills and experience required for role

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Numerate
  • IT literate (used It systems and is quick to learn)
  • Ability to use Excel at intermediate level
  • Demonstrate drive, initiative and proactivity in role
  • Proven ability to work both as part of a bigger team and individually
  • Ability to prioritise and organise tasks and workload
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Display high level of accuracy

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working in a pressured environment, delivering against tight deadlines
  • Experience of working within company and ethical rules and regulations
  • Experience of working in a highly accurate environment

 

KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade C or above
  • Ability to use Excel at an intermediate level
