Assistant Management Accountant

£DOE up to £28,000 per annum

Role Purpose

  • A key member of the Finance team, responsible for ensuring we have a highly efficient purchase ledger function and accurate month end reporting for the Pharmacy2U division of the business.
  • Working closely with the Purchasing Team and Management Accountant to provide reporting and information to support the effective and accurate reporting of the Management Accounts, including reconciliations and effective purchase ledger control

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for overseeing the purchase ledger function and ensuring strong purchase ledger control, bi weekly payment runs, liaising with the suppliers, the purchasing team and ensuring that accounts are maintained and stock can be ordered
  • Detailed month end analysis, including balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reviews
  • Bank reconciliations, margin reporting and income reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Working closely with the Management Accountant to ensure all tasks are completed to inform the monthly Management Accounts
  • Preparation and review of other key financial reports
  • Assisting with providing financial information to the business and completing ad-hoc financial and business projects

  • Actively studying ACCA, CIMA, ACA – minimum 3 years working in a relevant role
