Dosage and strength for erectile dysfunction Sildenafil tablets for erectile dysfunction come in different strengths ranging from 25 mg to 100 mg.
The usual dose is 50 mg, when you need it. Do not take it more than once a day.
The dose can be increased to 100 mg or decreased to 25 mg depending on its effect.
Take sildenafil up to 4 hours before you want to have sex. For sildenafil to work properly, you'll need to be sexually excited.
How to take tablets Swallow tablets whole with a drink of water or juice (but not grapefruit juice).
For erectile dysfunction, it's best to take sildenafil on an empty stomach. It may take longer to work if you take it with food.

As with all medications, this drug may cause side effects, though not everyone experiences them. The side effects associated with Sildenafil use are typically mild to moderate and short-lived. If you experience any of the following serious side effects, discontinue Sildenafil and seek immediate medical attention: Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): Allergic reaction symptoms such as sudden wheeziness, difficulty breathing, dizziness, swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, or throat. Uncommon: Chest pains, especially if they occur during or after intercourse. If this happens, assume a semi-sitting position and avoid using nitrates to alleviate the pain. Rarely (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people): Prolonged or painful erections lasting more than 4 hours, sudden decrease or loss of vision, serious skin reactions, seizures or fits. Other side effects include: Very common (may affect more than 1 in 10 people): Headache. Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people): Nausea, facial flushing, hot flush (sudden sensation of heat in the upper body), indigestion, colour tinge to vision, blurred vision, visual disturbance, stuffy nose, dizziness.

Is Sildenafil stronger than Viagra? Sildenafil works in the same way as Viagra. With the same active ingredient, they treat ED in the same way. When the dosage is the same, both medications have the same strength.
Can Sildenafil stop working? It&rsquo;s a good idea to try an ED medication as many as 8 times before you make a judgement on if it&rsquo;s working for you. If, after this time, you don&rsquo;t think it is working, speak to your clinician, and they may advise changing the dosage or trying something else.
