Flu vaccinations

What are the side effects?

Common side effects of the flu vaccine can include a slightly raised temperature, aching muscles, and the arm you were injected in may also feel a bit sore for a couple of days. In very rare cases, people can have allergic reactions to vaccines, which happens within minutes and our teams are trained to deal with this. Remember that having a flu vaccination can’t give you flu. You can find out more here

We will send you an email with the patient information leaflet for the flu vaccine following your appointment; this will give you all of the extra information you’ll need.

If after a few days you don't feel any better or you experience more severe side effects, you should call 111.
