Paramol
Paramol is an effective pain killer which contains two active ingredients; Dihydrocodeine and Paracetamol. When we suffer an injury or an illness, our body releases certain chemicals that sensitise nerve endings to cause pain; this is to prevent us from causing further injury to the area. The ingredients in Paramol tablets work together to reduce the amount of these pain-causing chemicals and to also copy the action of natural painkillers that our body releases, which in turn stops pain signals being sent from the injured area to the brain, meaning that less pain is felt. Paramol are available in Paramol tablets and Paramol soluble tablets.
How Does Paramol Work?
Paramol tablets contain Dihydrocodeine and Paracetamol.
Paracetamol provides mild to moderate pain and fever relief. Paracetamol also has no anti-inflammatory effects.
Dihydrocodeine is a stronger painkiller known as an opioid which works by mimicking the action of pain reducing chemicals called endorphins. These in turn block the pain signals sent by the nerves in the brain and reducing the level of pain being felt.
