Nurofen cold and flu tablets contain two active ingredients called Ibuprofen and Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) . NSAIDs provide relief by reducing pain, swelling and high temperature. Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride belongs to a group of drugs called vasoconstrictors which act on the blood vessels in the nose to relieve nasal congestion.
Nurofen cold and flu tablets clears a blocked nose and sinuses, relieves aches, pains, headache and high temperature and eases the discomfort of a sore throat.
For oral use and short term use only. Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years and over, take 1 to 2 tablets with water up to 3 times a day as required. Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Each tablet contains the active ingredients Ibuprofen 200mg and Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 30mg. Also contains Calcium Phosphate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate, Hydroxypropylmethyl Cellulose, Talc, Titanium Dioxide, Quinoline Yellow and Sunset Yellow ( contains Aluminium and E110), Shellac, Black Iron Oxide.
Do not take more than the recommended dose. Do not take more than 6 tablets in any 24 hours. Do not give to children under the age of 12. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist of you have or had asthma, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, a stroke, heart, liver, kidney or bowel problems, are pregnant or a smoker.
