Canesten Thrush Cream 2% provides effective treatment and soothing relief of the itching caused by thrush. It can also be used to treat the male partner.
Apply the cream thinly to affected areas 2 or 3 times daily and rub in gently. Treatment should be continued for up to one week after treating the internal infection in women and for two weeks in men.
One 20g tube of Canesten Thrush cream contains Clotrimazole 400mg (2% w/w). It also contains benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol and purified water.
If you are pregnant, breast-feeding or trying for a baby, tell your doctor or midwife before using. Before using the cream, you should see a doctor if; you have had more than two infections of vaginal thrush in the last six months, you or your partner have ever had a sexually transmitted disease, you are aged under 16 or over 60 or you have ever had an allergic reaction to Canesten or other vaginal antifungal products. Always read the label.
