Daktacort
Daktacort is a cream used to treat fungal infections and an athlete's foot treatment. Daktacort contains two active ingredients 2% miconazole nitrate and 1% hydrocortisone acetate. Daktacort cream is especially useful if your skin is red and inflamed as the hydrocortisone contained within the cream reduces irritation and inflammation.
Athletes Foot
Athlete's foot is a fungal infection caused by parasites on your skin called dermatophytes. Dermatophytes can be split into various groups; geophile (fungi preferring soil), zoophile (fungi preferring animals) and the most common anthropophile (fungi preferring humans).
Athletes foot is a common condition amongst young people as they tend to wear trainers regularly.
Infections
An infection of the skin can be caused by a yeast like fungus called candida albicans. The body contains many different micro organisms both internally and externally and if there is an unbalance this can lead to an infection. If the infection occurs you will find the area becomes itchy and purple patches will start to appear on your skin and we recommend you use Daktacort cream.
