Canesten Pessaries are for the treatment of vaginal thrush (candidiasis).
Adults: One pessary to be inserted into the vagina at night for six consecutive days using the applicator provided. Alternatively, two tablets may be inserted into the vagina at night for three consecutive days.
The pessary contains Clotrimazole 100mg. It also contains calcium lactate pentahydrate, maize starch, crospovidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, lactic acid, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, hypromellose and microcrystalline cellulose.
If you are pregnant, breast-feeding or trying for a baby, tell your doctor or midwife before using. Before using the cream, you should see a doctor if; you have had more than two infections of vaginal thrush in the last six months, you or your partner have ever had a sexually transmitted disease, you are aged under 16 or over 60 or you have ever had an allergic reaction to Canesten or other vaginal antifungal products.
