Calpol Sugar Free Infant Suspension Sachets are for oral use and will relieve pain and feverishness. It is suitable for children one to six years.
Post vaccination fever. Other causes of pain and fever, if your baby weighs over 4kg and was born after 37 weeks. Age 2-3 months: 2.5ml (small end of spoon). If necessary after 4-6 hours, give a second 2.5ml dose. Do not give to babies less than 2 months of age. Do not give more than 2 doses. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. If further doses are needed, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. 3-6 months one 2.5ml spoonful (small end) up to 4 times a day. Age 6-24 months: one 5ml spoonful (large end) up to 4 times a day. Age 2-4 years: one 5ml spoonful (large end) and one 2.5ml spoonful (small end) up to 4 times a day. Age 4-6 years: two 5ml spoonfuls (large end) up to 4 times a day. Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24 hour period. Leave at least 4 horus between doses. Do not give this medicine to your child for more than 3 days without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist.
Active ingredient per 5ml is Paracetamol 120mg. Also contains: Maltitol Liquid, Glycerol, Polysorbate 80, Sorbitol Solution (E420), Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Ethyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E214), Dispersible Cellulose, Xanthan Gum and Purified Water. The flavouring is strawberry and the colouring is Caramoisine (E122).
Do not exceed stated dose. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of overdose, even if you feel well because of the risk of delayed serious liver damage. Do not take with other products containing paracetamol. You should make sure that you carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use.
Side effects with paracetamol are rare but should you experience skin rash or other side effects report to your doctor or pharmacist.
