Calpol Six Plus Sugar/Colour Free Strawberry Flavour Suspension is for oral use and will relieve pain and feverishness. It is suitable for children six years and over and for adults who have difficulty in swallowing pain relieving tablets.
For oral use only. Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use . Do not overfill the spoon. Always use the spoon supplied with the pack. Never give more medicine than is shown in the table. Do not exceed the stated dose.
Age 6-8 Years: one 5ml spoonful (large end) up to 4 times a day.
Age 8-10 years: one 5ml spoonful (large end) and one 2.5ml spoonful (small end) up to 4 times a day.
Age 10-12 years: two 5ml spoonfuls (large end) up to 4 times a day.
Age 12-16 years: two to three 5ml spoonfuls (large end) up to 4 times a day.
Adults and children over 16 years: two to four 5ml spoonfuls (large end) up to 4 times a day.
Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24 hour period. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not give this medicine to your child for more than 3 days without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist.
Ingredients - Active ingredient per 5ml is Paracetamol 250mg. Also contains: Maltitol, Sorbitol Liquid (E420), Glycerol, Dispersible Cellulose, Xanthan Gum, Polysorbate 80, Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Acesulfame Potassium, Saccharin Sodium and Purified Water. The flavouring is imitation strawberry.
Do not exceed stated dose. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of overdose, even if you feel well because of the risk of delayed serious liver damage. Do not take with other products containing paracetamol. You should make sure that you carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use.
Side effects with paracetamol are rare but should you experience skin rash or other side effects report to your doctor or pharmacist.
