Look After Your Skin

When it comes to having great skin there are some simple steps you can take to make sure you also look fresh faced:

Take care to protect your skin from the sun. Use a high factor sunscreen and avoid sitting in direct sunlight. You can find makeup products with an SPF factor to help you keep skin protected.

Smoking has adverse effects on the skin. The skin requires a huge amount of blood circulation and smoking can impair that significantly. If you notice a smoker's skin can often look grey and dull.

Make sure you get enough rest and have a nutritious diet.

Take care to reduce anything that stresses you. This applies to both environmental stress and emotional stress.

Wash your face with a product like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and then moisturise. This will remove dirt, dust and dead skin cells.

When moisturising don’t overlook other areas of the skin such as heels, neck, elbows, décolletage.

Try to not touch your face and keep your hands clean. Avoid picking and poking at blemishes. The more you touch the skin the more you can cause problems.

Keep makeup products clean and replace applicators and sponges regularly. Every now and then have a good spring clean - every 6 to 12 months will do.

Moderation is the key to success. Use moisturisers sparingly in the areas you need it most and beware of overusing exfoliators.

At Pharmacy2U we offer a great range of skincare products including Cetaphil to keep your skin healthy and blemish free
