Anodesyn
Anodesyn are triple action suppositories and ointment used for the effective relief from haemorrhoids/piles. Anodesyn relieves the pain, soothes the itching and promotes healing. The Anodesyn suppositories contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic which helps with the healing process.
What are piles?
Haemorrhoids/piles are swellings that can occur in the anus and back passage. There is a network of blood vessels inside the lining of the anus and lower rectum. These veins sometimes become wider and carry with more blood than usual of which then form into one or more small swellings called Haemorrhoids.
Many people develop one or more haemorrhoids at some stage in their lives. There are certain conditions which can cause Haemorrhoids/piles-
• Constipation- straining and passing large stools when going to the toilet.
• Pregnancy. because the baby is positioned above the rectum and anus Haemorrhoids/piles are common during pregnancy.
• Hereditary- some people may inherit a weakness of the wall of the veins in the anal region.
How to avoid haemorrhoids/piles
Haemorrhoids/piles can be avoided/treated by following these steps
• Avoid straining when visiting the toilet
• Eat plenty of fibre
• Drink plenty of water
• Visit the toilet frequently and don't delay going
• Avoid medication which can cause constipation eg pain killers containing codeine
