Anadin Tablets are for the symptomatic relief of headache, neuralgia, migraine, toothache, sore throat, period pain, aches and pains, sprains strains, rheumatic, pain, sciatica, lumbago, fibrositis, joint swelling and stiffness, influenza, feverishness and feverish colds.
Adults 2 tablets every 4 hours. Maximum 12 tablets in 24 hours. Children: not recommended except on medical advice. You should make sure that you carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use.
Each tablet contains the active ingredients: 325mg of Aspirin BP and 15mg of Caffeine Ph Eur. Each tablet also contains: Quinine Sulphate, Microcrystalline Cellulose (E460), Maize Starch, Calcium Stearate, Hydroxypropyl Methyl Callulose (E464) and Polyethylene Glycol.
Do not take aspirin if you are allergic to aspirin or to any other ingredients, have a stomach ulcer or have haemophilia. Avoid in asthmatics and pregnancy particularly the final trimester. Do not give aspirin to children under 12 years unless medically indicated, and avoid in children aged up to and including 15 years if feverish. You should ask your doctor before taking aspirin if you are taking medicines for blood clots (thrombosis) such as warfarin or gout such as probenecid. Caffeine should not be used by anyone with known sensitivity. Avoid drinking too much tea or coffee when taking these tablets.
In people sensitive to aspirin, reactions such as asthma attacks and skin rashes may occur occasionally. Aspirin may induce gastric irritation, nausea, dyspepsia and stomach bleeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any side effects after taking this product. Caffeine may cause nausea, headache and insomnia.
