Clotrimazole cream is used for the treatment of skin infections caused by dermatophytes (a group of fungi that cause skin diseases). Clotrimazole cream can be used to treat: ringworm infections, athlete's foot, paronychia (an infection of the fingernail or toenail), pityriasis versicolor (a rash caused by a yeast fungus), erythrasma (reddish brown scaley patches on the skin), intertrigo (a rash in body folds), fungal nappy rash, candidal vulvitus (thrush of the vulva), candidal balanitis (thrush of the penis).
The cream should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected area of the skin two or three times daily, rubbing in gently, unless otherwise directed by your doctor
Active Ingredient: Clotrimazole B.P. 1% w/w Also contains: Sorbitan Stearate, polysorbate 60, cetyl esters wax, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, 2-octyldodecanol, benzyl alcohol and water.
